Antibody Response to a Live-Modified Virus Vaccine against Bovine Viral Diarrhoea in Dairy Cattle in a Field Trial

چکیده
(1) Background: The objective of the study was to evaluate long-term antibody response dairy cows a single dose commercial modified-live virus (MLV) vaccine against bovine viral diarrhea (Mucosiffa® CEVA Sante Animale, Liburne, France). (2) Methods: carried out in cattle herd counting 290 animals negative for diarrhoea (BVDV). vaccination implemented following manufacturer’s instructions. Twelve were randomly selected before study, and blood samples collected right then 12 times at 1-month intervals. serum screened using neutralization test (VNT) ELISA. (3) Results: Both tests showed that titers increased significantly all within first month post-vaccination, continued increase until second third (ELISA) post-vaccination. Antibody remained high stable end study. Moreover, did not show any adverse reactions or clinical symptoms disease. (4) Conclusion: results this indicated administration one MLV able stimulate long-lasting (12-months) strong vaccinated cows.

A novel subunit ISCOM vaccine against bovine virus diarrhoea virus.
The preparation and preliminary testing of a subunit ISCOM (immunostimulating complex) vaccine against bovine virus diarrhoea virus (BVDV) is described. Vaccination of calves with this vaccine yields high neutralising titres against a panel of Danish BVDV field isolates. The serological difference between virus isolates and vaccine strain selection is discussed.
متن کاملPersistent bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) infection in cattle herds
Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) is a significant pathogen associated with gastrointestinal, respiratory, and reproductive diseases of cattle worldwide. It causes continuous economic losses to the cattle industry primarily due to decreased reproductive performance. The ability of virus to cross the placenta during early pregnancy can result in the birth of persistently infected (PI) calves. P...

The measurement of antibody responses of animals exposed to BVDV either through a natural exposure or an immunization protocol is still a standard procedure. For BVDV, the test formats have been largely limited to ELISA which is a valuable diagnostic test to measure the level of BVDV specific antibodies as well as antigen in blood samples. In the present study, 120 blood samples were collected ...
متن کاملResponse to modified live and killed multivalent viral vaccine in regularly vaccinated, fresh dairy cows.
Vaccination programs for viral pathogens in the dairy industry span the full spectrum of possibilities even though few of these have been evaluated in field situations. One such program is the vaccination of fresh cows 30 to 60 days postpartum with modified live viral (MLV) vaccines. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the antibody response to booster vaccinations during this period. The ...
